Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions regarding my approach or your upcoming photo session, I will be happy to answer all of your questions but before you write to me, check out these six most frequently asked questions to see if your question is one of them. If not, feel free to shoot me an email at dchan101@gmail.com.

What is a look?

A look is an outfit and a specific hair style. Simple as that. In most cases, if you have layers such as a jacket over a shirt, I won’t need to charge for an extra look if you remove the jacket. If your clothes completely change as well as your hair, then that is considered a separate look.

What kind of commercial looks should I get?

Headshots now are becoming more specific. For commercials, think of what type of character you’d play. Think of what commercials you can be cast in. Verizon? Would you be the rep or the customer? Research some commercials and see how they dress.

What kind of theatrical shots?

Same goes here. Research the tv shows and characters that you could be cast in. Google images of the characters and see how they’re dressed. Don’t have to go as far as wearing a fire-fighter uniform, but see how they’re dressed in general.

What can I do to prepare for the shoot?

Plan out your looks and send them to me. This will help me plan out your background and locations for each look. Also I can help you make sure you get the best out of your wardrobe.

What do I need to bring?

Chapstick is essential. Stay hydrated so bring a water bottle and I can fill it for ya. Less plastic πŸ™‚ Also unless I say otherwise, bring extra wardrobe options just in case.

Deposit?

I require a $50 deposit. If you have to reschedule for any reason, we can credit that $50 towards the shoot as long as it’s within a month.
