Youth Development Program Website Launch!

November 28, 2011 | Posted By: Nahchusdivad @ 8:22 pm

Just recently launched a website for the after school program, Youth Development Program. I’ve had the pleasure of working with these folks to help inspire children with multi-media rich programs. I personally was teaching kids how to make their very own websites all about themselves utilizing iWeb on macbooks. Of course the children sites are not online, but they do get a copy to keep. Along with my web program, there is all sorts of enrichment programs from the arts, dance, video production, animations, and so much more. Check it out here at: www.ydplausd.com

November 18, 2011 | Posted By: Nahchusdivad @ 2:34 am

I’ve recently redesigned a website for a multimedia company called Heart And Soul Design Communications. Their last design was flash-based and the company CEO wanted to stray away from that. It’s actually an early launch of the site so stay tuned to a couple more additions to the site.

Actor Website – “Video Zone” WordPress Theme

November 18, 2011 | Posted By: Nahchusdivad @ 2:15 am

When La’Princess Jackson contacted me to set up her WordPress site, she had already chosen her theme from Fthemes.com. When I visited Fthemes, I discovered a whole bunch of very clean templates that are available. There’s not too many themes out there designed specifically for actors or entertainers, but this theme caught my eye. It’s called “Video Zone.” Check it out here at: Video Zone on Fthemes.com.

It has two menu areas which I believe you can choose from by deactivating one or keeping both. There’s a featured post area that slides images horizontally with big images. You have your social media links that you can customize as well as a sidebar widget showing recent posts, comments, and tags.

It’s simple and yet has kind of a grungy feel to it but still coming off very clean and professional.

Check out my growing collection of wordpress themes that would be suitable for Actors.

Welcome to La’Princess Jackson’s Website!

  • Added a customized banner at the top (Designed by La’Princess)
  • Customized links on sidebar linked to her IMDB, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Added more custom image links (Also designed by La’Princess)
  • Featured image slider to showcase her posts.
On top of that we created several pages to complete her actress site including a Bio page, Resume page, Photos, Videos, and Contact.

Taste of Soul LA

October 17, 2011 | Posted By: Nahchusdivad @ 4:33 am

Over the past weekend, I heard about Taste of Soul LA and thought it’d be cool to check out. A food festival for soul food! Sounds good to me. It’s supposed to be one of the largest food festivals in Los Angeles and I have to say, it was quite packed.

The food was a mix of soul food, Caribbean food, classic American, and some others. It was hard to get through all of the crowd to check out everything. But it’s a Taste of Soul so we had to find some good soul food. We finally settled on a place called Dulan’s. They had a $12 special with chicken, collard greens, mac and cheese, corn bread, candied yams, and fried fish. My friends got the Soul Food special and I grabbed the Chicken and Fish with a side of mac and cheese.

The food was pretty classic soul food. Delicious. The chicken that my friend’s got had a gravy and was served with some stuffing with collard greens, cornbread, mac and cheese, and candied yams.

The chicken and fish combo I got came was done well and came with some fries. The mac and cheese was awesome! And the candied yams was like crack it was so good. All in all it was some good eating.

Catalina Island

September 29, 2011 | Posted By: Nahchusdivad @ 5:26 am

Here’s a quick post. Over the summer, I checked out Catalina Island to see what it was all about. I took the Catalina Express from Long Beach for around $60 roundtrip. Kinda pricey, but I guess it’s one of the “cheaper” ways to get to the island. Unless you swim.

So I realized that I get a bit seasick…..Be prepared.

Landing at Avalon

The water was beautiful. Upon landing, I saw a seal welcoming us. He was just swimming around. I think it’s a paid gig. Wish I coulda got a photo of him….

Rented a golf-cart for about $40 for an hour. I highly recommend it. One because it’s very convenient. And two, because it’s fun.

 Leaving at night.

Chris Lee in the Studio

September 12, 2011 | Posted By: Nahchusdivad @ 5:46 am

I’ve taken a lot of pics of this girl =) Her name is Chris. I actually met her on set doing some extra work a while back. Scene was taking place in Chinatown so needless to say, there were a lot of us Asians =) Anyways if you look real closely, you may see her on some tv shows. So watch out!

Did a couple different looks with some being traditional headshots and a some stylish poses.

New York, New York!

August 29, 2011 | Posted By: Nahchusdivad @ 2:55 am

I recently went to visit my good friend Julie in New York . She has been there for 9 years and was planning to move back home to Virginia in the next couple of months. I had promised to visit her from LA before she got back and finally made it out there earlier this month. It has probably been a few years since I’ve been back to NY so I was pretty excited to see Julie in the city.

From Los Angeles, I first flew home to Washington DC and spent a couple days with friends and fam. That first weekend, I took the Eastern bus out of Chinatown DC, up to New York. They have pretty good deals at $35 round trip. I got my tickets from Gotobus.com. Be sure to get there early or you’ll be struggling to find a good seat. I got dropped off near Penn station and met up with Julie at a Borders bookstore, which was closing down….so sad…so sad. Anyways we grabbed a quick bite to eat and headed to her old apartment where I helped her clear out some furniture. She had to be out by the next day or so. To treat me, she took me to my first baseball game. Ever. Surprising? I guess so. It was at Yankee Stadium and they were playing against the Baltimore Orioles.

The photo above shows the view from our seats. Not bad view and the seats were plushy. Nice.

It was a total blow out. Within the first inning, the Yankees were up by 12 to 0. The final score was at 17 – 3. Ridiculous. Even for someone like me who doesn’t watch baseball,  I can tell the score was a bit different. On the plus side, I got to take some really cool pics. Especially with my zoom lens. Here’s Mr. Derek Jeter dodging a ball….and then walking away.

It was hard to decide on what junk food to gorge on. We ended up getting a bucket of fries and chicken sandwiches. Yummy trashy food.

While the Yankees were busy smashing the Orioles, we occasionally walked around the stadium. Lots of beer. Lots of food. Lots of souvenirs. That pretty much sums it up. Eventually we made it back to our seats and watched the rest of the game. It was pretty awesome. Thanks Julie!

After the game we headed back to Julie’s new temporary pad. The apartment was pretty awesome and the view was also pretty nice.

At night. Duh.

Panoramic Shot of View from the next Morning. Click to Enlarge.

The rest of the trip, we visited some friends who were getting engagement photos in the park on Long Island, we walked around Highline Park, visited Chelsea Market, and wandered around the city. It was very memorable trip and I was happy I got to see Eiluj one last time in NY =) ….I’m getting tired of writing….Hey! Look! More photos! =)
